Islamic Violence Follows Friday Prayers on Har HaBayis
Hundreds of Islamic worshipers pelted police with rocks following Friday prayer services on Har HaBayis on Friday 19 Tishrei 5773. Police used riot-control adjuncts to disperse the attackers. There were no reports of arrests or injuries.
Police remain on high alert in Yerushalayim over Sukkos, with a focus on the Old City, especially this year in light of the fact that Defense Minister Ehud Barak decided not to impose of closure on PA (Palestinian Authority) residents during the yomtov week.
